Ginger-Miso Grilled Asparagus - Memorial Day is Grilling Day
Summer is all about warm weather, backyard barbecues, and the irresistible taste of grilled food. As the temperature rises and we spend more time outside, there's one veggie that can take your grilling game to the next level - asparagus. May 24th is National Asparagus Day, just in time for Memorial Day feasts! And we have the perfect addition to your backyard barbecue - Ginger-Miso Grilled Asparagus.
What sets this grilled asparagus apart from the rest? Well, for one, it's easy to make. Just coat the spears in our irresistible marinade of sweet mirin, white miso, seasoned rice wine vinegar, and fresh ginger. Then, throw them over high heat for five minutes and watch as the magic happens. The high heat creates a perfect balance of softness and char, while the marinade infuses each spear with a smooth and fragrant mix of flavors.
Asparagus is also perfectly roasted on the Summerset Gas Griddle with 30 inches of flat top heat surface so none of Junior Asparagus' family falls through the grill grates. (wink, wink)
But it's not just about the taste—Ginger-Miso Grilled Asparagus is also healthy and full of nutrients. Asparagus is known for its various health benefits, including being a good source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. When grilled, it's a delicious way to add some greens to your barbecue spread.
Serve the Ginger-Miso Grilled Asparagus with scallions and toasted sesame seeds for an added layer of flavor and a beautiful presentation. For a bit of zing, add some lime wedges on the side.
Whether you're a grilling enthusiast or a home cook looking to spice up your meal, Ginger-Miso Grilled Asparagus is the must-have addition to any Memorial Day meal because Memorial Day is Grilling Day!
