Football is back, and Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs give you exactly the kind of food the occasion calls for: smoky, savory, gloriously messy, and made to eat with one hand while the other celebrates every tackle. Crisp bacon wrapped around juicy hot dogs brings a richer bite to a stadium classic, creating a crowd favorite worthy of the opening kickoff.
There is plenty to love before these even reach the bun. As the bacon renders, its smoky richness coats each hot dog while the exterior turns crisp and deeply browned. Pile on your favorite toppings, grab a cold drink, and you have the kind of hearty football fare that disappears quickly between plays.
A fully outfitted outdoor kitchen makes preparation part of the gathering. Use a Summerset Side Burner to give the bacon a head start before wrapping, or place the #304 Stainless Steel Griddle Plate directly over your grill grates for a broad surface made for sizzling strips. For an all-flat-top approach, the 30″ Griddle Pro offers expansive stainless steel cooking space with even heat and precise control – another way to keep the entire preparation outdoors.
Part of Summerset’s Game Day Grilling Series, these bacon-wrapped favorites belong in a season built around roaring crowds, backyard gatherings, and platters made for passing. Fire up the grill, settle in for kickoff, and serve a fistful of football fare worth cheering for.
