Relaxing and Warm, Thatched Pavilion, Stone Grill Island, Mosaic Backsplash, A Georgia Safari Like No Other

Backyards come in all shapes and sizes, and this Georgia home has transformed its plot into their own personal safari. A wood pavilion creates an entertaining space for cooking, dining, and lounging while protected from the weather.  The large cylindrical wooden beams are fully exposed and warm the space with vibrant color and grain.  The vaulted roof is a combination of shingles and thatching, adding an atmosphere of adventure like being on an exhibition. The use of black ceiling fans helps regulate the temperature on humid days and disappear when not being used.  Outdoor sectional seating creates an inviting sitting area to relax in the shade while watching the kids play. At the same time, a large stone grill island provides the opportunity to spend the day outside cooking, eating, and hosting.

The outdoor kitchen is expansive and is surfaced in a combination of gray and white split face veneer stone, bringing a feeling of calm and peace.  Shiny granite countertops provide plenty of prep space and a raised bar for plenty of seating.  A mosaic-tiled backsplash adds sophistication and a pop of color that ties in with blue furniture. A Summerset Grills built-in 38" TRL grill provides the firepower to grill anything on the menu for an outdoor barbecue while matching stainless steel cabinet and drawer units provide needed storage.  A built-in refrigerator rounds out the appliances to store cold refreshments and ingredients as needed. Outdoor living is about stimulating the senses, and this backyard is like glamping on safari with all the amenities of a resort.
