The Buildsters Show - Pilot Episode Preview In their pilot episode, The Buildsters transform a 1,200 sq ft backyard into a unique outdoor oasis in the gorgeous La Jolla community of San Diego, California. In partnership with the celebrity couple Hannah Godwin & Dylan Barbour of The Bachelor fame, they're going to show how to maximize space and build out a fantastic backyard that has all the features the couple had envisioned for their home. When Hannah & Dylan purchased their home, they planned to renovate the backyard into a flexible space for sunny days and chilly evenings. The nonconforming shape of the backyard had its challenges, but The Buildsters are eager to show off their new vision and make the couple's backyard dreams a reality.
The backyard was completely unfinished when the couple bought the home. With a view of the ocean, year-round access to sunlight, and just enough space for a hot tub, Hannah & Dylan knew there was potential, but where to start? They wanted to turn this modest home into an oasis that was cozy for friends and family and offer plenty of room for parties. With the best relationships in the industry, The Buildsters could outfit this outdoor oasis with the best brands for the job, maximizing the space for entertaining all year round.
To provide warmth on breezy ocean nights, the team used a custom fire pit from Firegear Outdoors. Built to last and endure the elements, the accent fire feature provides a gathering place for conversation with a moody ambiance. To build out the outdoor kitchen, Summerset Grills stainless steel components were the perfect fit and wrap-up to the custom island. Sleek and stylish, these components add function and flare for an exciting and inviting experience.
The designers wanted a modern feel and replaced the original concrete slab with stone pavers to provide an excellent foundation with texture and elegance. They also created privacy and protection from the elements with a brand new modern take on the cabana featuring structural elements on three sides.
This backyard was transformed from start to finish into a breathtaking getaway for Hannah and Dylan's future. The Buildsters crafted a stunning open-air retreat that will last them as they begin their family together.
With a mastery for completing jobs with incredible efficiency, The Buildsters bring a unique point of view that will never disappoint. Their CEO, John Cefalu, explains, "We are going to impress people and build some amazing things. We will showcase this backyard transformation through the lens of the contractor, which will allow viewers to learn how they can do the same."
